About Wendy

As a child, Wendy wanted to be a writer. Later, as a teacher, she stressed the importance of reading and of encouraging pre-schoolers to love books. Now a retiree, she writes humorous fantasies and adventures for children aged between 8 and 12.

Wendy’s first two books, traditionally published by Lothian, were The Doolally Kid and The Boy Who Disappeared. They’ve since grown into eleven books, including a five-book series (Angel of Fire, Sophie’s Return, Nemesis, Spooks, and Finding Cathcart), and a two-book series created when Wendy wrote a sequel to The Boy Who Disappeared entitled Rafferty’s Rules. Her stand-alone books include The Enchanted Urn, A Stitch in Time and Missing Uncle Izzy.

With eleven children’s books under her belt, Wendy turned her hand to an entertaining, adult ‘whodunnit’ entitled Schooled in Death. Set in the 1970s near the Southern Highlands town of Bowral, the story revolves around the bizarre murder of the headmaster of an exclusive girls’ school.

Zach’s Story is a series of five books following the other-worldly adventures of Zach Brinkley and his VERY different group of friends
